Queues Overview

Queues provide a means of sending messages amongst Tourplan users or groups of users. These permit workflow based reminders to be queued for some future action. They are context sensitive and can be attached to a booking, PCM, agent and/or supplier and therefore be viewed from a number of areas within the system.

The Tourplan main menu User Queue tab stores all messages waiting to be actioned for the User, as per the example screen below.

New message notification for a Tourplan user is integrated with Windows so that users are aware when a new message is now due for action. In the Windows System Tray a green Tourplan message icon will appear which alerts the user that a new Queue Message has arrived.
